TWP WATERPROOF BUILDING BOARDS
The core of Tycroc TWP building boards consists of extruded polystyrene (XPS foam). To ensure the board’s rigidity and durability, the waterproof foam core is coated with a layer of polymer-cement mortar. A fi berglass reinforcement mesh is embedded in this layer and covered with a second layer of polymer-cement mortar. This type of surface is immediately ready for finishing works such as tiling with ceramic tiles or natural stone. It can also be plastered, painted, fi nished with microcement, or covered with other finishing materials.

The product is hydrophobicand water-blocking, there-fore additional waterproof-ing is not required

Easy and fast to install.

Durable both during construction and after installation.

Clean installation process – cutting and processing the boards does not produce dust or debris.

Installation can often be carried out by a single installer, saving both time and labour costs.

Guaranteed resistance to water and moisture throughout the entire material (unlike traditional waterproofing systems that usually protect only one side of the structure).

Wide range of applications, allowing the creation of various shapes such as curved walls, ceilings and steam sauna benches.

Dust-free material even after installation, which is particularly beneficial for indoor air quality.

Fire reaction class E – the material burns poorly and does not release hazardous gases during combustion.

Unlike gypsum boards and other water-absorbing materials, moisture cannot accumulate inside the material, preventing the formation of mould and harmful fungi.

Real savings in time and cost – no need to apply and wait for waterproofing layers to dry.

Lightweight and easy to transport, for example between floors or rooms.
Tycroc TWP building board is fully waterproof andwater-blocking, meaning that neither water nor moisture can penetrate the material.
The board is lightweight and easy to install (a 12 mmboard weighs approximately 3 kg/m²). Compared tomany traditional construction solutions used in wetrooms, the main advantages are simplicity, speed ofinstallation, and reliability. The product has a closed-cell structure (0 capillarity), which means that watercannot enter or pass through the material.
Various moisture-resistant and waterproof materials are available on the construction market. However, the terms moisture-resistant, waterproof, and water-blocking are often confused.
In most cases, moisture-resistant or waterproof simply means that the product maintains its properties ina damp environment. This does not necessarily meanthat the material is non-absorbent or impermeable towater.

Tycroc TWP waterproof building boards are ideal foruse in bathrooms, steam saunas, spas and swimmingpool areas. The product is also suitable for use in dryinterior spaces. Thanks to its excellent resistance to temperature fluc-tuations, Tycroc solutions can also be used in seas-onal buildings, such as summer houses or cottagesthat remain unheated during winter. The boards can be installed on various constructionsubstrates and structural frames commonly used inbuilding structures.
Tycroc TWP boards are primarily intended for:
•constructing partition walls and making themwaterproof
•building custom-shaped shower enclosures
•creating steam sauna benches and seating pro-ducing worktops, shelves and similar structures
The boards are also suitable for:
•waterproofing bathroom ceilings and floors
•installation directly under floor heating cables, helping to reduce downward heat loss
•finishing window reveals where condensation may occur
Tycroc TWP boards may also be used in exteriorapplications, such as:
•plinth structures
•ventilated façades
•external window reveals
•When used outdoors, the extruded polystyrene core mustbe protected from UV radiation, meaning the board mustalways be covered with a suitable finishing material such ascladding, plaster, façade panels or similar
The Tycroc waterproofi ng system is a complete solution for waterproofi ng walls, floors and ceilings using Tycroc waterproof building boards.
The system includes covering surfaces with Tycroc TWP waterproof building boards and sealing joints, washers and corners using Tycroc Premium Fix adhesive sealant.
The surface of Tycroc waterproof building boards is hydrophobic and immediately ready for tiling or other fi nishing materials.
As an alternative solution, joints and corners may also be sealed using waterproofing tape and membrane systems.
